Attempted Auto Theft

 
A resident near the corner of Exposition and Braun thwarted would be car thieves from stealing his car in the early morning of January 7th.  Lakewood police were called but couldn't find the culprits.  It was a very professional attempt with a car waiting.  It was only a matter of minutes before they were in the car and would have gotten away with it had they had another 60 seconds.  Lakewood police have been seen patrolling the neighborhood in the early morning hours. 

 

Remember not to store valuables in your car especially over night.  Keep your car locked.  And do NOT leave your car unattended.  The best thing to do is, when possible; keep your car in the garage.  I've also noticed some garage doors open day/night.  Be sure to close them and not attract would be thieves.  Don't hesitate to call Lakewood police if you see anything suspicious.

Well, I haven't heard about any tigers or bears in the neighborhood lately but a teacher from Foothills Elementary sighted a mountain lion on Tuesday, November 17th.  It was running after three deer through the school property and
