Adopt-A-Family 2009

Each year our Green Mountain Civic Association members and partners at the Foothills Elementary School, Green Mountain United Methodist Church, and the Belmar Optimists Club have generously given their time and donated money, clothes and toys to families in our communty that otherwise would have a very bleak Chrismas. 

Last year we "touched" 23 families.  Each received gifts according to their indicagted needs (winter clothes, toys, games and, in one case, an electric shaver).  Each family recieved a grocery store certificate for the fixings of a nice holiday dinner.

It's time, again to organize and collect donations to provide a brighter Christmas season for less fortunate families in our neighborhood who are struggling in today's especially tough economy.  Toys, new clothes and money are especially welcome.  All donations need to be collected by December 18, 2009.
