Board Meeting May 5th, 2010 - Minutes

Agenda
- GM Walk: Ken and Warren cannot make the walk. Green Mountain walk will not happen. There is a scheduling conflict with the naturalist; she has an event that was rescheduled for the same day. Janice will post an announcement on the web. Janice will direct folks to Bear Creek as an alternative.
- Spring Cleanup: EDS is coming and they have 3 roll-offs planned. Plan is to have them at the church at 7am. Ken and Dave will run the cleanup. Event planned for June 19th. Event is on the church calendar.
- Foothills Park: Dig-up in process. They started last Monday. Should we have a big ribbon cutting ceremony? And when should we do the event? Let’s couple the ribbon cutting with the summer picnic!! We need to pick a date. Janice will get an estimate for a date to do the picnic. Jeff Sellers will likely be the candidate.
- Janice plans NOT to re-run for President. We need to post the President vacancy on the website and ask for volunteers. What on earth do we do now? Can we co-chair the President slot if nobody wants to step into the role? Should the organization fold? Can we use the ribbon cutting ceremony as a plea for help? Can we articulate the hours of involvement required?

- Ken to send Melissa the URL for the ePostcard so we can file taxes.
- Treasury report – member contributions are down significantly but Janice’s hard work is paying off.
- Group approved a motion to move GMCA to a credit union; Diane to followup with 2 unions to see who has a better deal
- At the next meeting we need to discuss what to do with the $25k we have
