The Murphy's - we bought one of the last of six new houses build on this section of S. Cole Ct. in 1973 There are two sections to Cole Ct. that do not meet, one on the north side of the Green Mountain ridge, the other on the south. At this writing in 2013, we celebrate 40 years in our home. We raised two sons here, both going to Foothills Elementary, Dunston Junior High and Green Mountain High. Our younger son, his wife and two grandsons live a couple of blocks up the hill. (Life on Green Mountain is good.) Our older son, his wife and three granddaughters live in Minnesota.
In 2013 there was much discussion involving new zoning regulations. The fact that the new code included permission to raise farm animals raised quite a stir. An interesting aspect of the argument was the discovery that new property code could not override existing covenants. A search for covenants was undertaken.
We discovered the covenants below in our closing documents. They were long forgotten, and in fact even back then likely had no legal standing. They were dated ten years prior to our purchase. But for the sake of a mildly interesting historical note, here are those covenants in the form of a scanned copy for "Green Mountain Filing No. 2".
