What is GMCA anyway?The simple answer is that Green Mountain Civic Association is a volunteer civic association made up of the neighborhood - people of Green Mountain Estates working together to build a better community.
There are approximately 1,100 homes in the boundary of the GMCA, and any homeowner in our geographic boundary is a member of our civic association. Examination of the ByLaws indicates that the board of directors of the association is only limited by their imagination and funding. Green Mountainside is a wonderful neighborhood that has evolved over the years since the 1950s. The hill was built up in many sections with some publishing covenants of which none have survived. So with NO HOA, GMCA was formed in 1981 as an all-volunteer civic association "... to promote the common good and social welfare..." of our neighborhood and the City of Lakewood. GMCA's only source of income used to fund the many events and activities it provides is contributions from resident families who donate $35 annually per household. We urge you to consider a donation to keep Green Mountain Estates a great place to live. It may be the most productive $35 you give. |
How can I help?GMCA is a 100% volunteer organization. All of our activities are preformed by volunteers. You can volunteer to help our neighborhood in many ways.
