We moved to the Green Mountain Estates neighborhood in June of 2007. Our previous home near Lakewood High School had become cramped and the yard required a lot of maintenance. When looking for a new home, we focused our search in west Lakewood, but kept coming back to a particular house on Green Mountain that really suited us both. With an increase in indoor space, a xeric landscape, and great city views from the deck, it was an easy decision for us. Although this neighborhood is conveniently close to the city, it almost feels as though we are living in the mountains. The neighborhood has evolved since the sixties with a mix of home styles that give it a real character. We have good friends living just a few homes away, and we have come to know a number of our neighbors, who have been very kind and helpful.
Charles is a lifelong resident of Lakewood and is a transportation engineer with a consulting firm in the Tech Center. Debra moved to Colorado after graduating from the University of Nebraska. She is a financial services manager with the University of Colorado at Denver.
We met in 1985, shortly after Debra moved to Colorado, and were married in 1990. Our interests include travel and golf, and we both enjoy walks in the neighborhood as well as hikes in the nearby open space. We think Green Mountain is the perfect place for us, and we plan on many years together here in our new home.
