2014 Holiday Lights
This year we sent our volunteers out for a swing of the hill. There are far too many wonderful houses to do justice to the efforts of so many, but here's a sample of what was discovered. And by all means, if you would like to volunteer next year for this event, your participation would surely be appreciated.

Added note from the hill:
And, which is the best full participation cul-de-sac??
Take a look at the South Deframe Court cul-de-sac. Pretty well lit up!

AND This just in...
"Good morning David! Were you aware of the effort and expense that Ted and Hollis went to 1000 feet above their house on expo? They erected an electric strand Christmas tree on the north facing side of our green mountain, and wired it down the mountain to their back door and a power source...Then, as a good care giver as Ted is, when the deer or critters chew through the ten 100 ft ext. cords he's back up the hill looking for the break to repair it and light the tree once again..That's Christmas dedication and a mitsvot for us on the hill..Did you know about That Tree? Check it out one night above expo and fig...."

And a note from the Webmaster:
Every year we have a challenge to see what to do about the Holiday Lights. When we used to send checks to "winners", they were typically never cashed. Appreciated, but cash was never the motivator.
Then we went to nominations from the neighbors. Hardly any nominations but still strong reviews for the pictures we took. Very popular.
This year, we had a nomination and then a note from South Deframe. We love it. Thank you!
Anyone with ideas to grow participation is very welcome to share those ideas. Make you thoughts known now because we'll all forget as Christmas next year sneaks up! And the same invitation holds true for the Landscaping pictures. Very popular and ripe for participation. It's fun to do - join in.
