Clean-up Plan
Spring: 3 30-yard dumpsters are scheduled.
Fall: Two 30-yard dumpsters are required.
30-yard dumpsters are scheduled to arrive and be placed by Republic Disposal beginning at 5:00 am. They have a map to know where to place them.
I (Carl Worster, Project Leader) arrive at about 7:00 am and set out traffic cones to mark traffic lanes. This is a one-person job. The rest of the team arrives at about 7:30. Other team members include 2 persons to check residents in by verifying that they reside within our GMCA boundaries. Larry Carlson brings two loose-leaf books containing all addresses and dues information. Bill Hunter collects dues and additional donations that are volunteered by the participants. I and other volunteers direct the loading of the dumpsters to be certain no one throws materials over the sides of the dumpsters and to ensure that the dumpsters are loaded to capacity beginning at the front of each dumpster.
I ask Dale Leyba to have at least one metal hauler at the site by 7:30 am.
We allow loading to start at 8:00 am.
We accept:
The clean-up runs from 8:00 am until 11:00 am or until the dumpsters are full to capacity. We sweep and clean the parking area at 11:00 and are gone by 11:30. The dumpsters are scheduled to be picked up at 12:00 noon by Republic Disposal so we don't interfere with any afternoon church activities.

We accept:
- Damaged furniture, remodeling materials, deck materials and used lumber, yard trash/brush and tree limbs.
- All metal items including wheels, barbeques, refrigerators, stoves, lawn mowers, window frames and all other items of metal.
- Paper shredding is no longer available because we can't get a paper shredder truck. The UPS store in the King Soopers shopping center shreds all papers at a nominal cost of 70 cents a pound.
- TV sets, monitors and computers, etc can best be disposed of at Best Buy. They accept all electronic items.
- We do not accept hazardous waste items like tires, paint, chemicals or electronics.
