The situation is complex. In the 1990's, GMCA (Diane Rhodus) and others were successful in ultimately delaying the development of this property. Diane is again working with our councilpersons, the mayor, and hopefully the developer and the property owner. She will use this bulletin and the GMCA website to publish updates on her effort.

Dave Wiechman made several remarks in this regard. One if significant interest is paraphrased, "The council will certainly listen to public comment, but it must be substantive."  In other words, by all means go to the council meetings and let them know what you think, but don't cry, speak of attention getting matters like traffic, public safety, city master planning, storm water control and the like. At least three of the meeting attendees are meeting to try to script 3-minute messages that would serve this need.

You are invited to use the GMCA website CONTACT
form to contribute your thoughts and ideas and offers to participate in this effort. Our home page has a link to the 3-page site plam which has the above site plan in a 3-page presentation.
