South Sign - Study
A question came to us on a dues coupon asking about the possibility of a Green Mountain Estates sign at the corner of Alemada and Foothill, the south entrance to the neighborhood. While there is no funding for such an undertaking, we were curious about the feasibility of such a sign. We received the following informatiion from the Lakewood Planning Department. The photo is at the bottom.

... I have attached a map showing the approximate area of the right-of-way line. ... The ROW line is the very light blue line; the map is very dark so I hope you can see it. I have also shown on this map how we measure a site triangle (it is not to scale). The sign placement must respect a 40 ft. (a correction) site triangle. ... In general, you measure from the flow line (the curb/gutter) back 40 feet on both Alameda and Foothills. Then connect those two points to form a triangle. The sign cannot be placed within the triangle.
The sign must also be placed 5 ft. back of the existing sidewalk. I hope these documents are helpful. If you have additional questions, please ask
