History of Green Mountain
We have begun collecting history. It has started with a few legacy "Meet your neighbor" submissions. We encourage any additions to the timeline and tales for our neighborhood. Subjects range from the original neighborly hello's like that of Dorothy Max to the results of research and interviews like Carl Worster's.
The challenge of course is how to organize these contributions. We hope the list below serves your purposes. Click the Historical Date or Title to get to the article. Community historical articles have red titles.

Notice To Readers About the Recording Of This History
Much of this history has been compiled from personal interviews from known long-time residents of the Green Mountain area, persons who have lived “on the hill” for 40 to 50 years. Many of the dates recorded are approximate since they come from the “recollections” of memories that have probably faded over the past forty-plus years. Thus, no information in this document should be construed as being absolutely or legally accurate without independent verification.
This history is a “Work-in-progress” and will undergo many revisions as additional long-time residents and former GMCA Board Members are recommended, located and interviewed. If any reader believes an incorrect statement has been recorded, we would appreciate a phone call or email message to “set the record straight”.
